The School Eco-Garden Programme

The School Eco-Gardens programme provides expert and information support to all schools, kindergartens, student residences, institutions and others in Slovenia that are setting up or caring for a school eco-garden of their own. The programme offers a rich range of activities open to every member of the School Eco-Gardens Network.

What We Offer

Professional seminars, workshops, competitions, and educational materials – everything we offer to network members for an annual membership fee of EUR 60.

What is the School Eco-Gardens programme

The School Eco-Gardens Association, which runs the programme (until the end of 2019 it was run by the Institute for Sustainable Development), offers its members comprehensive expert support with:

  • designing and building the school eco-garden, and with organic gardening itself,
  • using the school eco-garden in teaching,
  • training school eco-garden mentors.

Every institution that is part of the “School Eco-Gardens Network” can:

  • take part in the training courses, workshops and events of the programme,
  • use the teaching materials and the mentor resources on the ŠEV website.

We also offer opportunities to share experience with other institutions throughout Slovenia.
